The Federal Government is a bloated behemoth, and we must cut it down to size. We must cut federal spending by at least 50%, and preferably more. We must not allow any more bailouts of irresponsible bankers and politically connected corporations, and we must make every effort to learn exactly where all the TARP funds went and to retrieve them. Above all, we cannot allow American taxpayers to be "on the hook" for decades to come for the bad decisions of irresponsible speculators.
We must repeal the Federal Personal Income Tax and demand that Congress pass the proposed Liberty Amendment to the U.S. Constitution so that the few Constitutionally authorized functions of the Federal Government should be funded by use fees, excise taxes, and corporate taxes.
