The Second Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms

I am a staunch defender of the U.S. Constitution and its Amendments.

I will resist any and all efforts to diminish your rights as a US citizen. I fully understand that our U.S. Constitution is what sets us apart from all other governments and peoples of the world.

It is clear: the Second Amendment gives private citizens the right to keep and bear arms. It states that this right "shall not be infringed."

It is also clear that all people have an inherent, God given right to defend themselves, their families, and their property.

I will resist any effort to reverse the Castle Doctrine, the Ohio law that gives you the right to stand and defend yourself and your family.

I will resist any effort to reverse Ohio's Concealed Carry Law. Law abiding Ohioans should be able to defend themselves wherever they go. Law-abiding citizens are NOT a threat: they are the friends and allies of law enforcement officials.

Shooting Sports

Hunters and shooting sportsmen have no stronger advocate than Dr. Terry Johnson!

I am a steadfast supporter of the Second Amendment and your constitutional rights!

Law-abiding sportsmen should NOT be treated as criminals for participating in legitimate shooting sports.

There is NO reason to place more restrictions on our shooting sports!

There is NO reason to make it more difficult or expensive for law-abiding citizens to purchase firearms or ammunition.

Hunting and wildlife conservation go hand-in-hand!

Hunters and shooting sportsmen are the friends and allies of wildlife officials, and should be respected as such by our government!

As your Ohio 89th District State Representative, I will do everything I can to preserve and expand your ability to participate in hunting and shooting sports!
