Issue Position

Northeast Ohio is a leader in health care, with some of the best known and well respected doctors in the world. Our premier medical institutions are among Greater Cleveland's largest employers. These facilities serve as key drivers to our region's economic success, and are centers of research and innovation in a wide variety of medical fields. Yet, Ohio's population continues to age as an increasing amount of young people leave the state, resulting in financial and health care burdens that we must work to address.

Mike Dovilla believes that increased government involvement is not the solution to getting our nation's or state's health care costs under control. By transforming the health care system with technology, portability, and true competition, we can help increase quality and access throughout our state. Ohio can be a model for the future of American health care. As State Representative, Dovilla will partner with his colleagues, health care professionals, and citizens to reform the system in a way that reduces bureaucracy and increases consumer choice for all Ohioans while maintaining cost controls.
