Statement on Repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

Statement

"The repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' marks another important milestone in our struggle for equal rights for all Americans. Forcing service members to lie about their personal lives or face discharge and keeping qualified men and women from serving their country is a misguided, unjust, and discriminatory policy.

I look forward to a full and expeditious implementation of the repeal to strengthen our national security and afford our service members the rights and dignity they deserve."
