I believe that education is a valuable piece of the puzzle for America's future. However, one method of education does not fit every child's needs. For most, public schools is the preferred way to educate their children, yet, it is just as important for parents and guardians to have other choices available; choices like private schools and home school environments. Professional legislators in Washington do not know what is best for the children in our district, nor should they have the authority to mandate education choices. Just as choice is important for parents and guardians, local educators should be allowed to decide the best way to run their assigned school. That said, we should be grateful for the wise counsel from both governmental and private organizations, as long as those agencies serve only an advisory role in the educating of our children.
