There is no single issue that has the attention of the American people more so, right now, than health care.
The liberals in Congress have been pushing a radical plan that would nationalize our health care system and put the government in charge of our care. Even worse, the current plan before Congress would cut $500 million out of Medicare, threatening the health care of hundreds of thousands of senior citizens.
As a Congressman, Mike Kelly would stand up to these outrageous proposals. He will oppose, at every turn, the efforts to nationalize our health care system and take control out of the hands of working families.
Mike believes that the health care debate has not even addressed the health care sector; it has only addressed the government sector. We need real reform to allow citizens to have choice in health care. As a small business owner, Mike will fight for small businesses to band together to buy a policy which will cut costs in premiums paid by job creators, while at the same time, providing better coverage for employees and many citizens of the 3rd Congressional District. Finally, Mike stands for allowing individuals to have a wider array of options in health care providers by letting citizens use providers in other states. Competition among health care providers will end the monopolistic grip that we currently experience and lower costs.
Mike will focus on a bipartisan approach that will allow us to focus on the part of health care that really drives the middle class crazy: the cost. By working to enact tort reform along with pursuing innovation as a part of the health care delivery system, we can lower the cost of health care for small business and working families.
