Climate change is a daunting issue, one that will surely be around for generations to come. Members of Congress have the important responsibility of coming up with legislation that will directly impact the environment and how America is seen when it comes to addressing climate change. When elected, I will be fully supportive of any plan that will help America reduce or eliminate our dependence on foreign oil. Additionally, not enough resources have been invested in the development of alternative energy technologies. As a country, we need to give incentives to those companies that are leaders in clean energy solutions. As a district, we need to reduce our carbon emissions and improve our energy efficiency. I am a strong supporter of the President's plan to significantly improve the amount of renewable energy our country generates by 2025.
