As Illinois faces the most severe economic downturn in nearly 80 years, it is essential that lawmakers support policies that will reduce unemployment and put people back to work. Representative DeLuca gave his full backing to Illinois Jobs Now!, a new statewide $31 billion construction program that will rebuild deteriorating roads, bridges, rail lines, schools and other public buildings. Most importantly, this economic recovery initiative will create and retain more then 439,000 jobs over the next six years.
