As the President traveled to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida this week to announce his vision for the future of our space program, I renewed my opposition to this Administration's planned cancellation of the Constellation program. I'm disappointed that our "post-partisan' President has put such a high priority on politics when determining our nation's strategic mission in space. The direction of our space program shouldn't be dictated by how many electoral votes are up for grabs, but rather by what is in the best interest of our entire nation, now and in the future. The President's plan fails to guarantee American leadership in space, and the American people and Congress will not settle for it.
