Sen. Cornyn Statement On Sen. Hutchison's Decision To Stay In The Senate
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) today released the following statement regarding Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's (R-Texas) decision to serve out the remaining two years of her U.S. Senate term:
"I'm delighted with Kay's decision to serve out the remainder of her term. Now is the time to ensure that we have the best public servants in Washington. She is a valuable member of the United States Senate and an extremely effective Senator for the State of Texas. She did what was in the best interest of our state and country and I look forward to working with her in the fight to make Washington more like Texas."
