U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen released the following statement in reaction to House passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which passed the Senate in December.
"Today comprehensive health care reform is one step closer to becoming a reality for middle class families and small businesses struggling to pay their health insurance premiums. We are reigning in health insurance abuses that have bankrupted families in New Hampshire and nationwide. This is an important milestone in our nation's history."
