Boozman Thanks Americans For Voicing Concerns
In an effort to impact the final vote on a health care overhaul, thousands of Americans came to the U.S. Capitol today expressing their opposition to the Obama-Pelosi-Reid health care legislation.
U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR), met with people from all over the country, listening to their concerns about the government takeover of health care and encouraging them to continue to voice their opinions to lawmakers.
"I appreciate Americans taking the time to show Washington they are not in favor of Speaker Pelosi's health reform bill and they are tirelessly working to defeat the bill. Hearing the doubts and concerns of these Americans today and from Arkansans over the past year, I know that that the Majority's bill is not what we need to reform our system. Congress needs to do what is good for America and that means voting against this health care bill. I will continue to fight against this government takeover and vote no," Boozman said.
Boozman, a member of the GOP Doctors Caucus has led efforts to defeat the Obama-Pelosi-Reid health care reform legislation by hosting health care town halls, tele-town halls, hearings and press conferences over the past year detailing his ideas for meaningful health care reform through free market principles including tort reform, portability, increasing competition by buying across state lines and associated health plans.
