Cybersecurity Measure Clears The House With Heinrich Amendment

U.S. Representative Martin Heinrich (NM-1) voted for a bipartisan bill that will improve cybersecurity in the federal, private, and public sectors, and encourage a skilled cybersecurity workforce.

H.R. 4061, the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2009 cleared the House of Representatives by a vote of 422 to 5 with an amendment sponsored by Rep. Heinrich. The Heinrich Amendment, unanimously approved yesterday, would add National Laboratories as stakeholders in the Cybersecurity Strategic Research and Development Plan developed under H.R. 4061.
