Sen. Cornyn Statement On January Jobs Report
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today issued the following statement regarding the newly released January jobs report:
"January's lower unemployment rate masks the reality that job creation across America is stagnant and represents more disheartening news for the 15 million everyday Americans desperately looking for work. Washington must abandon job-killing policies and embrace policies that quell uncertainty and incentivize small businesses to start hiring again."
Sen. Cornyn serves on the Finance, Judiciary, Agriculture and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
