Congressman Jerry Moran commented on today's statement by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that she does not "see the votes" in the House of Representatives for passing H.R. 3590, the Senate version of health care reform legislation.
"The message from Massachusetts and across the country is that Americans overwhelmingly oppose the Democrats' current health care reform proposals," Moran said. "Americans are fed up with the secrecy, backroom deals and personal handouts by which these bills have been written. We need to start over on meaningful health care reform that will preserve access and reduce costs for Kansans."
Moran is Chairman of the House Rural Health Care Coalition and co-founder of the Congressional Community Pharmacy Coalition.
