Congressman Cuellar Statement On Afghanistan Troop Increase
Congressman Cuellar (TX-28) released the following statement on President Obama's decision for a revised strategy in Afghanistan:
"This decision comes at a time when the stakes are high and the sacrifices run deep. So tonight I'll be thinking of our troops and their families, what they've given and what lies ahead. The President understands the implications involved and I trust this decision has been carefully reviewed. A strategic plan for Afghanistan's security is a part of ensuring our security here at home. So we should be grateful to our brave men and women who will carry out this call."
