Where is the Rest of the World?

That was one of Senator Bernie Sanders' questions after President Obama ordered 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan. If the al-Qaida terrorists and their Taliban enablers pose an international threat, Sanders asked on MSNBC's Morning Joe, "Where is the rest of the world? This is an international problem. Why is the United States now going to be supplying 70 percent of the foreign troops at $100 billion a year when we are in the midst of the worst recession since the 1930s?" Host Joe Scarborough, the former Republican congressman from Florida, replied, "Bernie, I could not agree with you more. If this is an international concern, why is it our money and more importantly, our blood?"
