Sen. Cornyn Offers Amendment To Prevent Medicaid Fraud & Abuse

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, today introduced an amendment to the Baucus mark that seeks to prevent waste, fraud and abuse in the Medicaid program. Specifically, the measure would require the Health and Human Services Secretary to certify that states have implemented program integrity and quality improvement measures specified in the Chairman's Mark first before before expanding the program.
