Capito Applauds Passage Of Children's Health Bill

Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., released the following statement today after the House of Representatives passed and President Obama signed legislation to reauthorize the State Children's Health Insurance Program:

"I'm pleased to see the President sign this important legislation into law," said Capito. "This program helps ensure that thousands of low-income West Virginia children have access to quality healthcare.

"By ensuring quality health coverage for young West Virginians we can help them grow up as strong , healthy adults. The program has a real impact in West Virginians and I'm excited to see this bill pass."

Capito served in the state legislature when SCHIP was implemented and has been a long-time supporter of the program.
