U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) made the following statement on the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy:

It is with deep sadness that Bobbi and I learned of Senator Kennedy's passing. I will never forget the warm welcome Senator Kennedy gave me when I was first sworn in as a U.S. Senator. Though we didn't share political views, he was a gracious man with deeply held principles. The entire Kennedy family is in our prayers during this difficult time.
