Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-Baton Rouge) made the following statement on Tea Parties being held around the country to protest the Administration's fiscal irresponsibility:
"Across the country, Americans are gathering to protest Washington's reckless spending and the abusive tax code that funds it. We recognize, as our forefathers did, that excessive taxation destroys liberty and prosperity. We know from experience that debt swallows economic growth and diminishes our standard of living. The American people cannot afford the Administration's beg, borrow, tax, and spend mentality."
