Cassidy To Host Green Business Energy Summit

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-Baton Rouge) announced that he will host a Green Business Energy Summit at the Louisiana State Museum on Thursday, August 13, 2009.

"Louisiana is an energy state," said Cassidy. "We are one of the country's leading producers of oil and gas. We should also be a leader in developing next generation energy sources."

"Whether oil and gas or biomass, domestic energy production grows the economy, creates jobs, and strengthens America's energy security."

Designed to help broaden Louisiana's energy economy into emerging fields, the Summit brings together federal and state officials, academic experts, and agriculture and energy leaders for presentations and panel discussions on resources available to area entrepreneurs and organizations seeking to capitalize on innovative green energy technologies.
