Moore Applauds The Historic Confirmation Of Judge Sonia Sotomayor To Be Next Associate Justice Of The Supreme Court
Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-Wisc.) today commented on the confirmation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to be the next Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The Senate approved Judge Sotomayor's nomination by a vote of 68-31.
"It is an amazing time to be a public servant when all of the citizens of this country have an opportunity to participate in our democracy," Congresswoman Moore said. "To see the country struggling toward its destiny is a wonderful adventure for me. I am so proud of Justice Sotomayor - a truly wise, qualified Latina woman who has helped our country take one more giant step forward."
