Letter To Barack Obama, President, United States Of America: Cassidy Accepts President's Invitation To Review Health Care Legislation

Today, Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy wrote to President Obama to accept his invitation to review health care legislation "line-by-line" at the White House when Congress reconvenes in September.

At a town hall meeting in Raleigh, NC Wednesday, the President said, "When we come back in September, I will be available to answer any questions that members of Congress have. If they want to come over to the White House and go over line-by-line what's going on, I will be happy to do that."
The letter reads:
July 31, 2009

President Barack Obama
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20500

Mr. President,

Thank you for the invitation to review health care legislation "line-by-line" with you at the White House when Congress reconvenes in September. I gladly accept.

I will host several town hall meetings to discuss health care reform during the August recess and look forward to relaying my constituents' concerns to you.

Sincerely,

Congressman Bill Cassidy, MD
