Boozman Signs Healthcare Reform Pledge

U.S. Representative John Boozman today committed to reading health care reform legislation and making that legislation available in its entirety to the American public on the internet for at least 72 hours, so they can read it too.

Boozman signed the Responsible Healthcare Reform Pledge, stating that he will not vote to enact any healthcare reform package that he personally has not read and that has not been available for Third District constituents and American citizens to read at least three days prior to the vote.

"Reading and understanding the legislation is an essential part of my job and allowing Americans to read the laws that will impact their lives is just as important," Boozman said. "When we rush legislation through Congress and bypass the committee process we face unintended consequences that would be resolved if we had the proper oversight and order."
