Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Praises President Bush on His Leadership on Immigration Reform
WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today released the following statement praising President George W. Bush for taking leadership in developing important immigration policy:
"This is a nation of immigrants, built by immigrants. We need fair, effective, and humane immigration policies which also adequately address homeland security concerns, protect our economic security and take into account the contribution of immigrants to our great country. I am pleased that President Bush is taking this issue seriously and taking steps toward a fairer, more consistent system," Diaz-Balart said.
