Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Praises President for 'Clear, Positive Vision for America'
WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today praised President George W. Bush's State of the Union address as a clear, positive vision for America.
"Our nation needs a clear, positive vision, and the President once again delivered that vision tonight," Diaz-Balart said.
"While we can talk about the successes we have had in the War on Terror, recovering the economy, and passing a prescription drug plan with Medicare, this President and this Congress are focused on our future.
"Making the tax relief permanent will only further help the economy and let everyday Americans who need it most keep more of their hard-earned money. Also, we must continue to be vigilant in the War on Terror and continue to improve homeland security. We must take the steps necessary to reduce the federal deficit," Diaz-Balart concluded.
