Capito Praises Selection Of Judge Irene Berger For District Court Nomination

Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., released the following statement today praising President Obama's nomination of Irene Berger to serve in the Southern District Court of West Virginia:

"Irene Burger has a long history of valuable service to the people of West Virginia and I applaud the President's decision to nominate her for the Southern District Court," said Capito.

"Through her lengthy service to Kanawha County residents, along with her professionalism and fair-minded rulings as Circuit Court Judge, she's rightfully earned the respect of the West Virginia legal community. I wholeheartedly support her nomination, because I know that she will continue to exhibit these same excellent qualities on the federal bench."
