Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Slams Pelosi for Disparaging President Bush

WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) today responded to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) outrageous comments calling President Bush incompetent and that "the emperor has no clothes."

"While Nancy Pelosi has every right to question policies and to speak her mind, her shameful, over-the-top personal attacks on the president has sunk Democrat leadership to the gutter levels of the Left fringe in their party," Diaz-Balart said.

"Contrary to what Nancy Pelosi may wish, President Bush has demonstrated remarkable resolve and leadership in a period of great testing for our nation. President Bush's economic policies have led our country to a speedy and robust economic recovery. He continues to lead us against blood-thirsty terrorists," Diaz-Balart continued.

"The president has a vision for our nation and is taking action to make us safer and to improve our lives, whereas Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and the Democrats have no plan except to disparage our Commander-in-Chief. They have no plan to fight terrorism. They have no plan to continue growing our economy. They have no plan to handle our energy issues. Nancy Pelosi would have been far more accurate had she said, 'The Democrats have no clothes.'"
