Bennet Statement on Army Investigations of Alleged Homicides at Fort Carson

Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, released the following statement in response to the Army's findings from its investigation into alleged homicides at Fort Carson:

"This report is deeply troubling and raises several questions about how we are providing for our troops. The Army's support for our service men and women is falling short and we need to do better. This situation is unacceptable for our troops, untenable for military families and communities, and incompatible with our priorities as a nation.

"Major General Graham and Secretary Geren have shown they are taking this issue seriously and are determined to address it. I will work with Senator Udall to make sure the Army follows through on the report's recommendations and takes concrete steps to make the situation better for our troops, our military families and our communities."
