Klobuchar Statement on Iran

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar released the following statement on Iran.

"We are witnessing a historic moment in Iran as hundreds of thousands of Iranians of diverse backgrounds have taken to the streets to express their desire for a new direction for their nation. The Iranian government must respect the right of its people to peacefully gather and voice their opinion and cease all efforts to silence dissent through violence or intimidation. Ultimately, the government of Iran must reflect the will of its people, and the legitimacy of Iran's leaders within the international community will be judged by the choices they make during this critical period."
