Norton Praises President Obama's Supreme Court Justice Choice

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) issued the following statement praising President Barack Obama's choice of Judge Sonia Sotomayor for Associate Justice for the U.S. Supreme Court.
"In Judge Sonia Sotomayor, the President has found a Supreme Court nominee who meets every one of his stated criteria, and whose record on the bench and in life meets the highest expectations of the American people for the Supreme Court. Judge Sotomayor's struggle through adversity to a record of high intellectual and professional achievement affirms the most basic American aspirations that lead to success. In any fair process, Judge Sotomayor will be quickly confirmed."
