Sen. Cornyn Applauds Welcome Home A Hero Volunteers On Five Years Of Supporting Our Troops

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today issued the following statement applauding the Welcome Home a Hero program on its five-year anniversary, which will be recognized Tuesday, June 16:

"For five years, scores of volunteers from the North Texas region have made it their priority to give our returning troops and veterans a hero's welcome at DFW Airport. From a simple ‘thank you' to a welcome-home hug, their efforts have encouraged our troops and let them know their selflessness and sacrifices are deeply appreciated. I applaud the Welcome Home a Hero program and all the men, women and children who have sought to make a positive difference in the lives of our troops and their families. We all can learn a lot from the fine example they have set."
