Thompson Pleased with President's Supreme Court Pick
Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) made the following statement:
"The President's nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is a tremendous step forward and speaks to the diversity of our great Nation. I have confidence that Judge Sotomayor has and will continue to uphold the constitution as our next Supreme Court Justice and has the intellectual ability to apply the law, as well as the common sense understanding of how laws affect the daily realities of people's lives."
