The office of Rep. Diane DeGette, D-Colo., issued the following statement:

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the following statement concerning allegations of misconduct in the University of Colorado football program's recruiting tactics:

I am very concerned that the recruiting problems alleged to have taken place in the University of Colorado's football program are not isolated to either CU or college football. These allegations may be reflective of a much wider problem. I am working with the Energy and Commerce Committee to investigate the recruiting practices of major college athletic programs nationwide.
