Hoeven Statement On The Release Of Roxana Saberi
Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to an Iranian appeals court reducing the sentence of North Dakotan Roxana Saberi to a two-year suspended sentence:
"We were pleased to hear the news about Roxanna's release and eagerly await her return home. This has been a grueling experience for both her and her family and we wish them all a fast recovery from the physical and emotional hardships they've suffered over the past few months.
"I would like to thank the people of Fargo and all North Dakotans who have supported the Saberi family through this difficult time."
