Bennet Statement on Rural Community Forum in Brush

Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, today joined Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Governor Bill Ritter, Senator Mark Udall and Congresswoman Betsy Markey at a rural community forum in Brush. Bennet released the following statement on the forum:

"Secretary Vilsack shared a forward-looking vision for rural Colorado and I thank him for coming out today. We will continue to work together to provide support to our rural communities and help our farmers in the wake of the economic crisis, drastically low milk and livestock prices, and high feed costs. We aren't going to be able to solve all our problems overnight but with commitment, hard work and innovative thinking, we will begin to emerge from this crisis stronger than we were before."
