Lummis Statement on Inauguration of President Obama

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., issued the following statement regarding the inauguration of Barack Obama as the nation's 44th President:

"Today, our nation stood witness to a truly historic event as Barack Obama became the first African-American President of the United States," Lummis said. "The peaceful transfer of power to President Obama is a testament to the strength of our living democracy. This is a day to shed our differences and celebrate our unity and common bond as Americans. I look forward to working with our new President on behalf of all Wyomingites and Americans to strengthen our economy, safeguard our families, and keep our nation secure."
