Hoeven Statement on Continuing Imprisonment of Roxana Saberi in Iran
Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement after speaking with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss the Roxana Saberi case:
"This morning I spoke with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in regard to Roxana Saberi. I expressed our continued concern in North Dakota about her well-being and our desire to help in any way possible. Secretary Clinton assured me that the State Department is doing all they can to secure her release, and told me that she would let me know if there is anything else we can do to help."
"Roxana and her family are in our hearts and our prayers. We continue to call on Iranian officials to release her."
