REP. CALVERT BLASTS NEW DHS POLICY THAT RELEASES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FOUND WORKING IN THE U.S.

Illegals Keep Working When U.S. Unemployment is at 8.1%
Today Ken Calvert issued the following statement in response to an Associated Press story that 28 illegal immigrants found at a plant in Seattle, WA were released and granted authorization to continue working.

"I find it unconscionable that while hundreds of thousands of Americans and legal residents are out of work, the Department of Homeland Security is essentially providing amnesty to people found working here illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement should adhere to its name and enforce the rule of law which unequivocally states that individuals found in the U.S. illegally should be deported to their home country. The new policy put in by the Obama Administration makes clear that the American people, who are struggling to pay bills and are losing jobs, are simply not a priority."
