Senator Gillibrand Praises Proposed Flight 3407 Memorial Scholarship Fund

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand issued the following statement today praising Governor David Paterson's proposal to establish the Flight 3407 Memorial Scholarship Fund.
"When horrible tragedies like this happen, we owe it to the families of those who lost loved ones to do all we can to support them in the years to come. Access to a college education is one of the most promising doors we can open for the young people who lost loved ones in this tragedy.
"I thank Governor Paterson for his leadership. Through the Flight 3407 Scholarship Fund, we will honor the memory of those who died by providing real opportunity to their loved ones for generations to come."
