Senator Gillibrand Welcomes New Archbishop to New York
New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand released the following statement today welcoming Timothy Dolan to New York.
"I welcome Archbishop Dolan to New York. His appointment will bring another thoughtful leader to our community and our state. As a member of the church, I believe the Archbishop of New York can play an important role in our city by honoring its diversity and ensuring educational opportunity for many of our children. Archbishop Dolan's warm and caring approach will be valued in the church and civic discussions.
"I also want to praise Archbishop Egan for his leadership and thank him for his service to the community. I wish him all the best in the years to come."
