Three, Two, One, Launch: 7E7 Project to Fly High in Everett

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) today released the following statement on the Boeing Company's announcement that All Nippon Airways of Japan placed the first order for the 7E7 Dreamliner, officially launching the program. The 50-plane order sets a launch record for Boeing. In December 2003, Boeing announced the planes would be assembled at its plant in Everett, WA.

"Our local Boeing workers are the best-trained aerospace manufacturing workers in the world, and we worked hard to make sure they would assemble the 7E7 Dreamliner. In December, Boeing delivered the great news that its Everett plant workers would assemble the 7E7. Today Boeing announced a record-setting launch order of 50 planes that makes the Dreamliner a reality.
