Rep. Lujan Statement on Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act

Rep. Ben Ray Luján issued the following statement on the House passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act. Rep. Luján voted for both pieces of legislation.

"I am proud to support these pieces of legislation that give individuals the tools they need to challenge pay discrimination. Individuals need to be treated fairly in the workplace--regardless of their gender, race, or faith. The Lily Ledbetter Act restores fair law that worked. The Paycheck Fairness Act is critically important for women across the country, and helps working families. This legislation ensures that women will get equal pay for equal work."
