MCNERNEY OFFERS REMINDER: STILL TIME TO GET YOUR CARDS IN

Outpouring of support even greater than last year; Congressman to partner with local organizations to send some cards to troops overseas

Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) today reminded 11th district residents that there is still time to participate in his second annual "Holiday Cards for Our Troops" program.

Until December 10, unaddressed and unsealed holiday cards with a message of thanks to a service member, can be dropped off at either Rep. McNerney's Stockton or Pleasanton office.

Rep. McNerney is collecting holiday cards for soldiers recovering from battle and stationed away from their families this holiday season. He will hand-deliver the cards to soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C, sailors and marines at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and to National Guard and Reserve soldiers at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin, CA.

Due to an outpouring of support this year, including from many elementary school students from throughout the region, Rep. McNerney is partnering with two local organizations to send some of the holiday cards received to troops stationed overseas. Rep. McNerney is working with Packed With Pride in Stockton and the Pleasanton Military Families to include holiday cards in troop-support packages headed for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Below are the addresses of Rep. McNerney's offices.
