Klobuchar Statement on Clinton Nomination

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar made the following statement today in response to news that President-elect Obama will nominate Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) to be Secretary of State:

"President-elect Obama demonstrated strong leadership today in asking Senator Clinton to join his Administration. Senator Clinton's vast experience and high-standing in the world will help President-elect Obama bring the change the American people so clearly want and need. She possesses the toughness, intellect, and grace that will restore America's image abroad. While her leadership will be missed in the Senate, particularly as we prepare to tackle health care, I look forward to continuing to work with her in her important new role."
