Walberg Calls on the Senate to Move Veterans Funding Bill

U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) today called on the U.S. Senate to allow the Veterans Funding bill to move forward. It has been 40 days since the House of Representatives passed the Veterans Affairs and Military Construction Appropriations bill, yet instead of finishing work on this important legislation, the Senate went on a five week vacation and has not scheduled a vote, preventing the legislation from moving forward and becoming law.

"Funding for our veterans is a top priority for me. The Senate needs to stop its stalling tactics and provide care for our brave veterans and soldiers," said Walberg, "Our veterans should be a top priority of this Congress, and Majority Leader Reid should get to work and finish this important bill so the VA will have important funding."
