* Supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which included $250 for every disabled veteran to help mitigate the effects of the current economy.

* Supported dramatically increases funding for VA health care. This increase, included in the FY 2009 budget, will provide adequate resources to give 5.5 million veteran patients timely and high quality care.
