Titus: Nevada Cannot Afford Failed Bush-Porter Economic Policies

Press Release

Date: Sept. 16, 2008
Location: Henderson, NV
Issues: Oil and Gas

Third Congressional District Candidate Dina Titus released the following statement today on the failed Bush-Porter economic policies that continue to hurt hard-working Nevadans.
"Yesterday's grim financial news is further evidence that the Bush-Porter economic policies have left middle-class families behind. From Main Street to Wall Street, Americans are paying the price for their failed economic policies.

"Eight years of George Bush and six years of Jon Porter have done enough damage to our nation's economy. Jon Porter has voted in lockstep with President Bush and served as a reliable rubberstamp for policies that have resulted in record gas prices, record foreclosures, and record job losses. The Third District can no longer afford Jon Porter or George Bush.

"As an independent voice for Nevada, I will work to take our state in a new direction by tapping into the abundant renewable energy that will stimulate our economy, create jobs, and put Nevada back on track."
