Efficient transportation infrastructure is critical to economic growth. Congressman Sessions has long been a leader on transportation issues in the Texas delegation, working his colleagues to provide a unified transportation vision for North Texas and the entire State.
Texas is a donor state -- meaning Texans pay more into federal transportation funds than the State receives back each year. This inequitable distribution diminishes resources for Texas ' transportation infrastructure, which is critical to the State's prosperity. As a member of the Donor State Working group, Congressman Sessions is working with other Members of Congress to make sure that Texas does not continue to lose out on federal transportation dollars. His goal is to provide funding for a balanced list of much-needed transportation improvements in and around the Dallas area.
